Methodist Ladies’ College (MLC) is one of Australia’s most respected and innovative schools with over 2,000 students from our Early Learning Centre to Year 12.  We currently have a vacancy for a professional Community Engagement Co-ordinator in our Advancement Office working full time, with 4 weeks annual leave per annum.

The Advancement Office seeks to advance the College through friends and funds.  It supports and works with the MLC Foundation, Old Collegians and Parents’ Association in their activities, programs and events in order to build a connected, informed and engaged MLC Community.  The Office manages all fundraising activities including stewardship, annual and regular giving, bequests, major gifts and campaigns to ensure all programs meet the high standards and brand expectations of MLC.  It works to build and nurture a culture of philanthropy within the MLC Community.  The Office also manages the College’s archival collection. 

Through the provision of efficient and effective administration and event coordination support for the College’s Advancement Programs and activities, the Community Engagement Co-ordinator plays a key role within the Advancement Office.  You will also be experienced in planning, delivering and evaluating a range of Advancement events for the Parents’ Association.  You will have exemplary customer service to parent stakeholders in all facets of planning & delivery of events and programs.   This role works collaboratively with all Advancement team members.  The position reports directly to the Director of Advancement. 

The successful applicant will have strong, demonstrated administration, and be able to work collaboratively at all times.  Experience in events coordination will be considered favourably.  Excellent computer skills across the Microsoft Office suite are essential.  Some weekend and evening work will be required in relation to various aspects associated with this position.
