Methodist Ladies’ College is one of Australia’s most respected and innovative schools, with over 2,000 students from our Early Learning Centre to Year 12.

Applications are invited for the part-time (average 30 hours per week) position of Senior Swimming Coach, working within the Sport Department. The Sport Department is a large, professional and energetic team.  MLC Swimming is highly valued and conducts a very successful program catering for over 475 swimmer including the operation of MLC Aquatic Swim Club.

The Senior Swimming Coach will oversee and develop the State Age Squad, provide advice and information to the Swimming Head Coach and the broader coaching team around the progression of both the swimmers and program and create a learning environment that ensures best practice training methodologies are applied.

As the successful candidate, you will have:

  • Demonstrable experience and proven results in coaching male and female at a State Level
  • A willingness to attend all required meets and regular meetings with MLC Swimming staff and coaches
  • A continuous improvement mindset, always looking for ways we can evolve our programs and improve outcomes
  • Development Coaching Accreditation (formerly Bronze license) with a minimum of 3-4 years’ experience coaching

Minimum 3-4 years coaching experience working in swim school or school/club aquatic programs is essential. The successful candidate must have an Advanced Coaching Accreditation (formerly Silver license), Level 2 First Aid and CPR Qualification, Working with Children Check and National Police Check.
