The Director of Education Outdoors is a Head of Department role, providing support and links between two MLC remote campuses and the Kew campus. In line with the strategic directions of the College and working with other Heads of Department in the Learning and Curriculum Group, this role will further enhance MLC’s position as an innovative, challenging, enriching and exciting learning environment.

MLC has two remote campuses; MLC Banksia (Gippsland) and MLC Marshmead (Mallacoota).  The programs at these sites aim to raise awareness, respect and responsibility for our natural environment, developing a sense of self-worth and identity for students as well as the resilience required to prosper through life’s challenges.

We are seeking an experienced and visionary educator to take on the exciting role of Director of Education Outdoors who has outstanding educational leadership and management skills, strategic vision and relevant educational qualifications. Importantly you will be able to convey the aims and philosophies of MLC Marshmead & MLC Banksia to a wide variety of audiences.  The successful applicant will report to the Vice Principal at our Kew campus in Melbourne and is responsible for leading and managing the Education Outdoors program.

Applications are invited to join our exceptional team of staff, for a full time, ongoing position, with 8 weeks leave per annum, commencing January 2023.  This position will also include a teaching load of approximately 0.4.
